ZERMATT's SUNTRAP

Those able to understand the local Swiss dialect will know from the name of the restaurant that it acts as a suntrap – you'll be basking in the sun from dawn till dusk. Savor the local specialties and a drop of fine wine while enjoying stunning views of the Matterhorn. Thanks to its proximity to the Sunnegga Express station, the restaurant is also a convenient meeting place for those not partaking in winter sports.

The huntsmen's parlor is where you can admire trophies bagged by local hunters and see what the Alpine fauna actually look like close- up. This room provides seating for 100 guests. Savor the traditional culinary delights from this corner of Switzerland in the cozy mountain parlor with seating for 192 guests and the traditional Swiss stübli parlor that can seat a further 140 visitors; the chef particularly recommends the Rösti (a traditional potato dish) and Raclette (a traditional mountain dish, where cheese is heated in front of a fire, scraped onto your plate and served with potatoes).
